Dam Regional Park in Anoka County, Joy Park and Ramsey County Open Space in Ramsey County. The Grand
Lake release site will receive parasitoids for the second year in 2021.
Release Site Characteristics
o Parasitoid-release sites are typically in forested areas, woodlots, wooded wetlands, and riparian zones
that will not be harvested or developed for at least 5 years.
o Sites should be at least 40 acres in size or have a high density of ash and corridors that connect to other
wooded areas.
o Sites should consist of 25 percent ash or higher with varying size class.
o EAB must be present in the environment to release parasitoids as they need EAB to complete their life
cycle. Low to moderate EAB infestations are preferred so that the ash trees won’t be killed before
parasitoids are established and dispersed.
Chris Mallet christopher.mallet@state.mn.us 651-201-6249

Total By Year

Year Total Spathius galinae Tetrastichus planipennisiOobius agrili Spathius agrili

20103326 0 2154 0 1172

201130717 0 19480 3641 7596

201245321 0 19822 10241 15258

201351176 0 42579 8597 0

201446496 0 34434 12062 0

2015182512 0 151022 31490 0

201689043 1613 45130 42300 0

201768496215143245231000

201844546 4636 27310 12600 0

201947616 4609 34607 8400 0

202016847 4465 4062 8320 0

Total 626096 17474 423845 160751 24026
