VilLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILEE <Meeting,Tuesda...v,september 16 1952 at 2.00 P.M. 244 The Village Council met on the above date with the following members present. Carlson,Willmus,Membrez,Connor and Hammersten. Milner Carley Village Engineer and Ira Karon,Village Attorney were also present. The Clerk read the minutes of the last regular meeting of September 2 and the continued session of Sept.8 1952 and on motion by Membrez,seconded by Carlson they were approved as read. Membrez moved, seconded by Willmus that the bids on the catch basin installations be opened. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). The Clerk read the bids as follows Orfei & Mariani a total of $6,000.00 Beatson & Kelly $6150.00 ' S.j.Groves & Sons $11,090.00 and Frank Serratore $ 4488.00 Hammersten moved, seconded by Connor that the bids be referred to a committee of two, Milner Carley and Mayor Connor were appointed to tabulate the bids and report at the next meeting. Roll call Ayes-(,) Nayes-(O). Mr. John Blekkink of 2480 No. Fairview who O'Wl1S nine acres of l;¡nd at that location between T.H.36 and County Road "C" asked if he could conduvt a Trailer camp on the premises. It was stated by Membrez that when the last Trailer camp was started it was decided by the governing body at that time not to allow any more camps within the Village as it created a problem with the schools. Discussion was held on the advisability of a Christmas Tree ordinance and its benåfits,and several letters were read regarding it. Membrez moved, seconded by Hammersten that Karon draw up a Christmas Tree ordinance with a fee of ten dollars for each seller of trees. Roll call Ayes-(,) Nayes-(O). Hammersten moved, seconded by Membrez that an ordinance be drawn governinS the diggers of septic tanks and cesspools, and that they be licensed to operate within the Village with a license fee of $2,.00 and that they have proper insurance coverage with a minimum of $,,000.00 Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). Hammersten moved,seconded by Carlson that the following resolution be adopted. RESOLVED that the rent controls wi thin the Village of Roseville be extended until April 1st 1953. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). Discussion was held on the old Village Hall and its use by the present tenant John Rysgaard. It was the understanding of some of the Council members that it was to be used for the storage of some ladders,but he has a paint shop there . There was some question as to our insurance coverage. Connor moved, seconded by Hammersten that EO~gaard be notified to vacate the premises on or before November 1st 19,2. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). Hammersten moved,seconded by Membrez that the application of the Northwestern Bell Telephone Co to bury a phone cable in Pascal Ave. crossing Skillman Ave be granted. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). Carley reported that a dry well was needed at 2100 Fairways Lane. Connor moved, seconded by Hammersten that the dry well be installefl and that the blocks be purchased from the Richfield Yards. Roll call (5) Nayes-(O). Ken Fabyanske the Fire Marshall reported on the conditions in the rear of the Cut Price Grocery at Lexington and Larpenteur, He was asked to write them a letter telling them to clean the place up in three daYE.
