Cctober 7th, with the following members present: <br />CéTIson, Wil1mus, Membrez, Connor, and Harunersten. <br /> <br />CcS!'ley reported that bids had been tabulRted and there was some leg?1 <br />ouestion thD.t arose. Gonnor moved and IIammersten seco'1ded that Carloy's <br />recommendation regarding grader !'1nd truck he referreci to +'he Village Att.orney <br />af!d a report be made at the next reglllar meeting on Cctoher 21st. Mayor Connor <br />answered him by saying we had checkcè into thlJ mat.ter, and a lot of it was <br />caused by a control valve at Fulhan1 and Roselawn an(~ no report had been received <br />from the Cowlt; as ;yet. <br /> <br />Carle:r reporterl that he had contacted the state, and they are mAking a <br />dudy of the problera to see if it can tie int.o the new state Higl1wa;r coming along <br />Walnut st. and the;! were trying to find a place to pipe it to. The control valve <br />is owned and controlled by the County, o.nd it 'would be their responsibili t~! to <br />repair the valve so it functions properly - b;y controlling the flow of water <br />so the height of the lake at. Midland Hills y'onlà be maintained and to get the <br />surplus over to the sUInp pump at Walnut st. Carle;:' said Hydraulic Engineers <br />have been worki1'1;:; on it along with Mr. Baer, an Engineer with the state He¿>lth Dept. <br /> <br />Mr. Roberts who had built eight homes on nionne St. East of Lexington <br />appeared regarding Home 10tG he has purchased North of Rama between Lebens ,mò <br />C!latsworth Sts. He wanted to know what could be done for hicl. Six of the lots <br />in question only contained 7980 Sq. feet which was lé:sS than our minimum require- <br />ments. After much discussion about size of lotR, Mr. Roberts agreed. to three <br />lots 88 x 100,~ 70 x 132.5 in Blk. No.2. Membrez moved, seconded h~' Connor, <br />that we acquire a strip of land 60 x ~~65 the extension of Roma between Aglen and <br />Chatswo"'th at t.he price of ~1500.00. Roll call A"ves-(5) NAyes-(O). <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, 1"econrled b~' Carlson, that we heve the State erect two <br />Fire StL1tion.,~500 ft. ahead, at Fire House on I,exington Ave. <br />~\\ns <br />Membrez l'1oved, seconded b;.' HamIi1Ðrsten, that we aèvertise for bids for <br />fuel oil. R0ll Call f~es-(~) NaY9s-(0). <br /> <br />Membrez moved, seconded by Willmus, that we grade th~ boul(.)vard along the <br />peterson propl'!rt:r for 660 feet. Roll call Ayes-(~) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Willmus asked for perrllission to C1.lt down )ellwood. HGmmersten moved, <br />seconòed b;y Connor, that Carley check estpbliRhec1 grade of ])ellwood from Roselawn <br />north as far aE' it can go. <br />
