Communication Items <br />35 City Engineer Jesse Freihammer provided a brief review and update on projects <br />36 and maintenance activities listed in the staff report dated January 26, 2021. <br />37 <br />38 Environmental Specialist Ryan Johnson updated the Commission on Partners in <br />39 Energy. <br />40 <br />41 Member Spencer asked if the meetings Mr. Johnson has attended for Partners in <br />42 Energy has been recorded or if any notes have been taken. <br />43 <br />44 Mr. Johnson thought the meetings were recorded along with notes in order to be <br />45 able to go back and review them. He noted the City does not have the videos, but <br />46 he thought he could get them if needed. <br />47 <br />48 Chair Wozniak explained the City Council approved the 2021 utility rates and <br />49 chose option one for the water utility rates, which was not the option the PWETC <br />50 recommended, it was the recommendation from the Finance Commission. <br />51 <br />52 Mr. Culver explained the consultant recommended option one and he had asked for <br />53 option two to be formulated. <br />54 <br />55 Chair Wozniak indicated there were some emails Mr. Culver and he responded to <br />56 regarding the Met Council' Bus Rapid Transit Line. He indicated the Met Council <br />57 had a survey about different transit lines. He noted the survey is closed and this is <br />58 a work in progress. <br />59 <br />60 Chair Wozniak noted he received a letter from the City to start his siphon, so he <br />61 does not have frozen water pipes this winter. He explained he receives this from <br />62 the City every year. <br />63 <br />64 Mr. Culver explained the Ramsey/Washington/Metro Water District Citizen <br />65 Advisory has some openings if anyone in the City is interested. He noted there is <br />66 information on this in the PWETC packet and on the City website. <br />67 <br />68 Member Joyce indicated at the last City Council meeting he noticed the Youth <br />69 Commissioners will not be able to vote on the Commissions, it was not approved. <br />70 <br />Page 2 of 7 <br />
