252 VILLAGE COUnCIL OF ROSEVILLE Meeting Tuesda~T, October 21, 1952 at 2:00 O'Clock P. M. The Village Council met on the above date with the following members present: Carlson, Willrnus, Hembrez, Connor and Hamraersten. Milner C:'rle;r, Village Engineer, was also present. The Clerk read the minutes of the last regular meeting of October ? and the continued meeting of Tuesday Evening, October 14, 1952, and on a motion by Willmus, seconded by Carlson, they were approved as read. Roll call Ayes - (5) Nayes - (0). The Clerk read the letter from the Village Attorney regarding the bids and specifications that were referred to him for a legal opinion. Hammersten moved, seconded b;y Connor that all bids on grader be rejected. Roll Call ~res-(5) Nayes-(O). Mayor Connor told the salesmen present that all bids were rejected and we would re-advertise at a later date. Membrez moved, seconded by Willmus, that we purchase the F.W.D. Company d-ton truck for $15,937.25. kves-(3) Nayes-(2).-Carlson and Hammersten Louis Kersten wanted to know about graveling Long Lake Road from Co. Rd. C south to R.R. tracks. After much discussion on whether we should go ahead and gravel the road or put on crushed rock, it was suggested that Mr. Kersten put on a good coat of gravel for the time being. Membrez moved,secollded by Carlson that the petition presented to the Council on July 1st by Wm ªeiling and neighbors for re-zoning portions of the Krannak property from Business baêk""'to Residence "A" be denied. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). Membrez moved, seconded by Connor, that petition of October 21st, asking for rezoning of Lot one, Block Two and Lot One, Dlock One, the East 10 feet of Lot Two, Block Two, and the East 10 feet of Lot Two, Block One, Krannak Addition be accepted and a public hearing be called for Wednesday, Nov. 5, 1952 at 2 P.M. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). Membrez moved that due to fact that H. V. ,Tohnston could not deliver culverts when needed that the contract be awarded to st. Palil Corrugating Co. .Motion seconded by Carlson. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). Membrez moved, seconded by Carlson, that the request of Caouette to play bingo at the Depot Nite Club be denied. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). Fabyanske reported on Fire Marshall duties. He had contacted the St. Paul Dept. and it is a long range job. He wanted to know who was to be the Fire Marshall next year as they heard they would not be reappointed next year and they would like to go into a program with the schools which would take time to organize and did not want to get started for OlÙY two months time. After a lengthy discussion, it was suggested that the Clerk buy the necessar~r supplies for Fire Marshalls. The motion was made b:r Membrez and seconded by Carlson. Roll call Ayes(~) Nayes-(O). Willmus ¡¡¡oved, seconded by Carlson, that stan Sayre be invited to the next COlffiCil meeting on November ,tho Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O).
