Roseville Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission Agenda Item Date: April 27, 2021 Item Description: Pathway Master Plan Discussion Item No: 8 Background: As part of the comprehensive plan update in 2018, the PWETC and Council updated the Pathway Master Plan. The current version of the plan was adopted by the City Council in October of 2018. Since that time, numerous pathways have been added and some new pathways have been discussed as being added that are not currently in the plan. Attachment A is the current plan that was adopted in 2018. Attachment B includes proposed changes from staff based on what has been constructed since 2018, including pathways which will be constructed in 2021, as well as some new proposed segments to the pathway master plan. The proposed segments are based on feedback from Council, new developments that have occurred or are planned to occur in the future. Staff would like to get commission member feedback on the proposed changes or any other changes that are needed to segments of the pathway master plan. The focus would be on the maps and what segments should be added, removed or modified. Attachment C is a cleaner version of the City's existing pathways as of December 2020. Based on Commission input and comments, staff will schedule another PWET Commission meeting item in the near future to review the proposed modifications again, allow public comment after a notification effort, and then receive a formal recommendation from the Commission for the proposed modifications. This will then be presented to the Council later this summer or early Fall for official review and adoption after another opportunity for public comment. Recommended Action: Receive presentation and recommend changes to the existing pathway master plan for future PWET Commission and City Council consideration.
