Evenin~ Mar. 5, 1953 at 7 P.M. <br /> <br />('il 2' <br />'lß <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date in special session for the p'lrpose <br />of receiving a new petition for Midwest Real t~/ and h!'Jaring a report on tabulation <br />of Crader and Truck. The follo'\'d.ng members were pr(~8~llt: Carlson, Willmus, <br />Membrez, Connor and HéWlraersten. <br /> <br />The Clerk read the petition of Wes Chandler for a change of regulation <br />eliminating the required 5 ft. set-back for the Wilb~rt-ChandlerVault Company. <br />Connor moved, seconded by Hammersten, t hat the peti "tion be accepted and submitted <br />to the Zoning Board, and that the Council hold a public hearing on TuesdD.y, <br />March 17, 1953 at 2:00 I>.M. Roll call ~Tes-(.5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />The Zoning Board was called to the table and they were briefed on the new <br />peti tion presf"nted b~r the Midwest Realty Company Dnd what has happened up to datrJ <br />on the project. The buffer strips that have been requested were explain~(I to the <br />members. <br /> <br />Membrez told the Zoning Board of the reasons for the requests and that the <br />pl'!ople affected werl'! promised the plRnting of trees to screen out the area. <br />Leinen explained the conversation the~T had on the purchasing of his prop~rty and <br />the Leinen estate, and he felt he should be protected b~r a buffer strip also. <br /> <br />The ComrnittM on tabu18tion and specifications reported that F.Vl.D. waf' low <br />bidder on the truck and Austin-Western Iowan the road Grader. Connor moved, <br />Hamrn~rsten seconded, that we purch¿:¡s~ F. V:. t. truck! a11(: Austin-Western grader as per <br />recommendation of the eorami ttne to which it was referred. Roll call Ayes-(5) <br />Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Vlillmus moved, seconded b~r Connor, that we c(jntinu~ the meeting to Tut3sday <br />evening, March 10th at 7:30 P.M.
