Roseville Public Works, Environment and
Transportation Commission
Agenda Item
Date: August 24, 2021
Item Description: Partners in Energy Update
Background:
Item No: 5
In July 2020, the City was informed that its application to participate in Xcel Energy's Partners
in Energy (PiE) Program was approved. Staff have been working with Xcel Energy and the
Center for Energy and Environment (CEE) to move the program forward. Staff are very excited
with how the program is progressing, and the advancements we are making to establish goals and
strategies in order to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.
The PWET Commission received an update in February and June on the work of the Energy
Action Team. Partners in Energy are back to provide an update now that the implementation
process of the program has started. The current efforts and next steps of implementing the
Energy Action Plan will be the main focus of the discussion.
The City has a Partners in Energy webpage where additional information can be found:
www.CitvOfRoseville.com/Partners-in-Energv.
Recommended Action:
Receive a presentation from the Partners in Energy lead facilitator, Megan Week, from the
Center of Energy and Environment (CEE) and provide recommendations for further action.
Attachments:
A: Energy Action Plan
B: Energy Action Plan Implementation Table
