May 7, 1953 at 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br />333 <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date a~ a continuation of its regular <br />meeting of Tuesday May 5th with the following members present: carlson, Willmus, <br />Connor and Hammersten. Uembrez ab~ent. <br /> <br />Hamrnersten brought up the QUE.3tion of a rO!ld crew and told of what had <br />happened up to rlate. Joe Koalska had been in the office on April 23rd and said <br />if the letter he received was the final decision, he wa~ not interested. <br /> <br />Connor moved, seconded by Carlson, that we hire Vernon Schmidt as Grader <br />operator, I. H. Eiynck as Truck operator and Clarence Richter at the rate of $325.00 <br />per month. Roll call ~ves-(ü) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Connor moved, seconded by Hammersten, that we employ Mrs. Helen Franke as <br />relief operator in the Liquor Store at $1.15 per hour as of April 2nd. Roll call <br />Ayes-(4) N~es-(O). <br /> <br />The question of purchasing the Loader wa:.:; discussed. Connor moved, seconded <br />by Carlsen, that we purchase the MinneapoliR Moline Tractor with Lull Loader from <br />the Wm. H. Ziegler Co. providing they make delivery within three days for the sum <br />of $3338.00. in order that we can use it not later than May 11th.
