Emerald Ash Borer Discussion
Moving Forward
Short Term/Long Term Plan (2022 - 2025) - Revived Accelerated EAB Management Plan
• Work with a selected vendor to remove/replace all public ash trees by 2025.
• Objectives
• Utilize an RFP and Best Value approach to utilize vendor expertise and capabilities to
implement a planned, systemic removal/replacement.
• Ensure community safety.
• Ensure Roseville's long term tree species diversity when selecting planting.
• Eventual restoration of tree canopy.
• Maximize efficiency.
• Estimated cost of the program could be $1.3 million over four years.
• NOTE: this timeline may be ambitious as many communities in the metro are now competing
for the same vendors and supplies.
• Would continue to pursue grant funding.
• Will utilize a Minnesota Green Corps staff member through August 2022 to assist in getting this
program off the ground.
