Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: October 26, 2021 <br />Item Description: Introduction to Crosswalk Treatments <br />Item No: 6 <br />Background: <br />Within the City of Roseville, there are over 400 marked crosswalks across public roadways. The <br />City has 93 of those crosswalks within its jurisdiction, 31 of those are at uncontrolled areas where it <br />was determined that the crossing justified additional measures. <br />Staff will review what a crosswalk is, some examples of crosswalks within the City, the County's <br />new crosswalk policy, and start a conversation about what the City's crosswalk policy should be. <br />Attached is the County's recent pedestrian crosswalk treatment guideline document and a recent <br />study with recommendations for crosswalks on Minnesota public roadways. <br />Recommended Action: <br />Receive information from staff and provide feedback about the use of crosswalks on City roadways. <br />Attachments: <br />A.
