<br />VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROS1~ILLE <br />Continued Meeting, Tuesday, October 27, 1953, at 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date as a continuation of the <br />meeting held Saturday, October 24, 1953, at 9:00 A.M., with the føllowing <br />members present: Carlson, Connor, Membrez, Hammersten, Milner Carley, <br />Village Engineer and Ira Karon, Village Attorney, were also present. <br /> <br />The clerk read the report of the two persons hired to check the names on <br />the petition served the council by Ernest Markham demanding that we hold <br />a primary election. <br /> <br />The petition not having the required number of valid signers, Membrez <br />moved, seconded by Connor, that the petition be placed on file. <br />Roll call Ayes-(4) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Clerk read petition of Frances Maitkati for rezoning of the following <br />described property: <br />North 150 feet of the South 300 feet of the West 150 feet <br />of the Southwest ì of the Southwest ì Sec. 12 T 29 R 23. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, seconded by Membrez, that the petition be accepted and a <br />public hearing be held on Tuesday, November 17, 1953. Bank <br />Their corporate seal not having been affixed, Karon suggested it be Collateral <br />returned to them for that purpose and then placed in the safety deposit <br />box by Leinen on its return. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, seconded by Carlson, that the following resolution be <br />adopted. <br /> <br />"RESOLVED, that the annual Village Election for the Village <br />of Roseville be held on Tuesday, December 8, 1953, at the Village Hall, <br />Lexington and County Road C, and the polls for said election be open <br />between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M.; that the following offices <br />are to be filled at said elections: One Mayor, One Trustee, One <br />Treasurer, One Constable, One Justice of the Peace. <br /> <br />RESOLVED FURTHER, That a copy of this resolution be published at <br />least thirty (30) days previous to said election in the Rose Tribune <br />and that posted notices be placed within the Village by the Clerk at <br />least ten (10) days prior to the election at Victoria and Larpenteur, <br />Woodruff and S. McCarron Blvd., Snelling and Co. Rd. "B", and Lexington <br />and Co. Rd.
