ATTACHMENT F <br />ATTACHMENT B <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date:November 25, 2019 <br />Item No.:7.g <br />Department ApprovalCity Manager Approval <br />Item Description:Joint Meetingwiththe Planning Commission <br />1 B ACKGROUND <br />2 Each year, the City Council meets jointly with advisory commissions to review activities and <br />3 Because of <br />4 numerous vacancies on the Planning Commission, the 2019 joint meetingwas delayed significantly <br />5 in order to provide time for vacant seats to be filled. As of October 2, 2019, the Planning Commission <br />6 is fully-seated withseven members. <br />7 Most ofss is reactionary, caused byreceipt of various land use <br />8 applications. From time-to-time, other issues present themselves and require further discussion or <br />9 consideration by the Planning Commission. These items are considered City-initiated,but almost <br />10 always relate to the Zoning Code and Comprehensive Plan. Below, staff has outlined the <br />11-2020, and <br />12 additionalitems the Commission is seekingdirection from Council on. <br />13 2018Activities & Accomplishments <br />14 The Planning Commission held 14 meetings in 2018. Those meetings resulted in the following major <br />15 activities/accomplishments: <br />16 Recommended a final draft of 2040 Comprehensive Plan to be submitted to the Metropolitan <br />17 Council <br />18 Zoning Code text amendments regarding the following topics: <br />19 o Design and dimensional standards to support multi-family housing in the Regional <br />20 Business district <br />21 o Text amendments (mainly definitions) related to revisions to the use table within the <br />22 Centre Pointe PUD <br />23 o Text amendment regarding taprooms, breweries, and brewpubs <br />24 Plat review at Rosedale Center <br />25 Two Conditional Use requests for drive-through facilities (Portillos & Chick-fil-a) <br />26 Conditional Use for 1900 County Road C (contractor yard) <br />th <br />27 Centre Pointe PUD Amendment for 4hotel <br />28 Conditional Use for increased building height at 2650 Lexington Avenue (The Pointe) <br />29 Interim Ordinance regarding drive-through facilities in NB, Neighborhood Business districts <br />30 Two residential in-fill plat requests <br />31 Rezoning, Comprehensive Plan Amendment, and Plat requests regarding Hand-in-Hand <br />32 Christian Montessori School at 211 N McCarrons Boulevard <br />Page 1of 2 <br /> <br />
