ATTACHMENT A <br />1 <br />2 EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />3 OF THE <br />4 CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />5 <br />6 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />7 <br />8 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />9 Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 26th day of May 2020 at 3:00 p.m. <br />10 <br />11 The following members were present: ______. <br />12 and the following were absent: ____. <br />13 <br />14 Member ______ introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 RESOLUTION NO. _____ <br />20 CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />21 <br />22 A RESOLUTION APPROVING TEMPORARY WAIVERS <br />23 OF CERTAIN CITY CODE REQUIREMENTS <br />24 TO PROMOTE PHYSICAL AND SOCIAL DISTANCING <br />25 FOR BUSINESS AND FAITH ORGANIZATIONS ACTIVITIES <br />26 DURING THE COVID-19 HEALTH PANDEMIC <br />27 <br />28 WHEREAS, on March 13, 2020 Minnesota Governor Tim Walz issued Executive Order <br />29 20-01 declaring a Peace Time Emergency and Coordinating Minnesota’s Strategy to Protect <br />30 Minnesotans from COVID-19, and <br />31 <br />32 WHEREAS, in response, on March 16, 2020 Mayor Roe issued a proclamation declaring <br />33 a Local Emergency in recognition of the community risk posed by COVID-19 and the City Council <br />34 adopted Resolution 11681 formalizing the Local Emergency declaration and invoking the city’s <br />35 emergency management plan authorizing appropriate response strategies to the pandemic, and <br />36 <br />37 WHEREAS, on May 11, 2020 the City Council adopted Resolution 11695 extending the <br />38 period of Local Emergency to coincide until such time the State of Minnesota peacetime state <br />39 emergency declaration is rescinded and the City Council rescinds the local emergency by <br />40 resolution, and <br />41 <br />42 WHEREAS, the City of Roseville City Council recognizes the continued risk and threat of <br />43 community spread of the COVID-19 virus and the negative impact it has had on local business and <br />44 faith organizations and further recognizes the potential negative impact that may continue upon <br />45 reopening absent the ability of businesses faith organizations to provide appropriate distancing <br />46 between its patrons/members and its employees while operating profitably, and <br /> <br />
