Attachment D-9212020 <br />287 o Serves as a member of the CityÓs ManagerÓs Leadership Team, contributing to <br />288 the organizationÓs leadership philosophy, vision and values and working to <br />289 address cross-organizational issues having significant, long-term impact for <br />290 our staff and community. <br />291 2.Provide daily direction, coordination and supervision of staff working in equity, <br />292 inclusion, and outreach roles by doing the following: <br />293 o Assist staff in ensuring equity is considered for new and existing programs and <br />294 policies by developing training, providing data, support, and recommendations. <br />295 o Assigns responsibilities, and delegates work to staff as it relates to equity and <br />296 inclusion efforts. <br />297 o Provides training and support to City staff, Council, and Commissions. Assists <br />298 staff members, teams and work groups in understanding and applying trainings <br />299 to their day-to-day work. <br />300 o Works cross-departmentally and throughout the organization; participates on <br />301 and often leads cross-departmental teams, work groups and committees to <br />302 establish and implement equity and inclusion strategies and achieve strategic <br />303 objectives. <br />304 o Work with staff on the development, deployment, and progress measurements <br />305 of racial equity action plans. <br />306 o Provides guidance and direction in outreach activities. <br />307 3.Serves as educational and expert liaison to the public, staff and elected and appointed <br />308 officials be doing the following: <br />309 o Serves as the staff liaison to the Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement <br />310 Commission. <br />311 o Provides guidance to other commissions and committees as needed for the <br />312 advancement of equity and inclusion. <br />313 o Develops metrics, benchmarks and goals for equity and inclusion initiatives and <br />314 provides regular reports to the City Manager and City Council. <br />315 o Represents the City to other levels of government on equity and inclusion <br />316 initiatives and serve as a reputable subject matter expert on relevant <br />317 issues/topics. <br />318 o Represents the City at community events that pertain to equity initiatives and <br />319 proactively ensures that the City is adequately represented at such events. <br />320 o Collaborates with other organizations and groups in advancing equity and <br />321 inclusion goals. <br />322 Total new levy costs for the Equity and Inclusion Manager included in City ManagerÓs proposed <br />323 2021 budget: <br />324 <br />325 <br />326 Funding for Equity and Inclusion Manager $110,000 <br />327 Total$110,000 <br />328 <br />Page 12 of 20 <br /> <br />
