Attachment <br />AGENDA FOR PUBLICIMPROVEMENTHEARING <br />Mayorcallsthemeetingtoorderandannouncesthepurposeofthemeetingand format for. <br />"Thisisapublichearingto consider whether <br />"Thiswas initiatedTheCouncilwillconsideraresolution <br />" <br />THE FOLLOWING AGENDA CAN BE USED AS THE FORMAT FORTHE PUBLICHEARING: <br />CityManagercommentsincludingbriefdescriptionof,published and mailed <br />notices,andwrittenobjections tothe <br />It is suggestedthatthe CityManagershould make a general comment regardingthe published and mailednotices. <br />Thisshouldincludethefollowinglanguage: <br />"Published and legal mailed notices have been provided forthis.Legal noticesappeared in the city's <br />legalnewspaper,The, <br />Affidavitsof mailing areavailable inthe office oftheCityEngineer." <br />Priortothe hearingproceeding, the CityManager should read all writtenobjections for the project. <br />CityEngineerbythistimehas provided specificinformation for including <br />Mayoropenshearingto public. It issuggestedthatthefollowingcommentsbemadebytheMayor: <br />"In an attempt to provide everyone an opportunity tobeheard and yet conductthehearingin an efficient manner, <br />we would suggest thatrulesbeused for thehearingforthisproject.Thesewouldincludethefollowing: <br />1.Individualsshouldidentifythemselvesby giving theirnameand address and should speak into the microphone. <br />2.Each speaker should limit questionsandcommentstofiveminutes. <br />3.No person will beheardforasecondtimeuntilall interested persons who wishto speak have hadan <br />opportunityto do so. <br />4.Becourteous. No comments fromaudienceorapplauseduringquestion/commentperiod. <br />Mayorcloseshearing. <br />Afterallcitizen comments havebeen completed, theMayorshouldindicatethatthepublichearingisclosedand <br />turnthehearingoverto the CityCouncilfor action. <br />Councilactionon:Resolution <br />(Resolutionprovided byCityEngineer.) <br /> <br />
