Attachment A <br />shall be operated as a public utility and convenience from which revenue will be derived, subject <br />to the provisions of this Chapter. (Ord. 388, 4-22-63) <br />801.02: COMPLIANCE WITH CHAPTER REQUIRED: <br />No person, firm or corporation shall connect any water service to the Municipal water <br />system or make use of any water service connected to the municipal water system except in <br />the manner provided in this chapter. All connections to or extensions of the municipal <br />water system shall be in accordance with relevant portions of the current Minnesota <br />Building Code, Minnesota Plumbing Code, and City of Roseville Standard Details for <br />utility construction. No person shall make, construct or install any water service <br />installation or make use of any water service which is connected to the water system except <br />in the manner provided in this Chapter. (Ord. 388, 4-22-63) <br />801.03: SUPPLY FROM ONE SERVICE: <br />A. No more than one housing unit or building shall be supplied from one service connection <br />except by special permission of the Public Works Director. <br />B.A separate connection shall be required for each dwelling unit constructed on or after <br />September 19, 1979, in R-1 or R-2 Districts as defined in Title 10 of this Code. A separate <br />connection shall be required in R-2 Districts for all dwelling units if there are separate <br />parcels. (Ord. 883, 7-13-81) <br />801.04: USE CONFINED TO PREMISES: <br />No person shall permit water from the water system to be used for any purpose except upon their <br />own premises unless written consent is obtained from the Public Works Director. (Ord. 288, 4- <br />22-63) <br />801.05: TAPPING OF MAINS: <br />The tapping of water mains must be done under the supervision of the city engineer and pursuant <br />to city specifications. A plumbing permit is required, pursuant to chapter 901. The fee is as <br />established in the fee schedule and is payable when the permit for the plumbing work is <br />issued.No person except persons employed by the City shall tap any distributing main or <br />pipe of the water supply system, or insert stopcock or ferrules. (Ord. 388, 4-22-63) <br />801.06: APPLICATION FOR WATER CONNECTION: <br />A. A permit must be obtained to connect to the municipal water system. The water connection <br />permit fee, as established in the fee schedule, shall be submitted at the time of permit <br />application. All permits for service installations shall bemade by the owner of the property, <br />or his duly authorized agent and shall state the size and location of the service connection <br />and all other information as required. The applicant shall pay to the City prior to the <br />issuance of the permit, the total amount of fees or deposit required for the installation of the <br />service connection as herein provided. No permit shall be issued except to a licensed <br />plumber, certified pipe layer, or homeowner performing work on his or her own premises. <br />CityApplication: All applications for service installations and for water service shall be <br />made to the Chief Code Enforcement Officer on printed forms furnished by the City. <br /> <br />
