7 <br />Larry Hiscock, <br />Larry Hiscock brings over 20 years of community organizing and development experience, previously <br />serving as a Program Officer with Nexus Community Partners, an Executive Director with the Harrison <br />Neighborhood Association and as an organizer for several public interest organizations. In this work, he <br />advanced a racial justice framework in place-based organizations, provided technical assistance with a <br />racial equity lens to a diverse array community groups, local jurisdictions and grant-makers. <br />Larry has extensive experience in community engagement, leadership development, building <br />collaborations, advocacy, meeting facilitating, grant writing, providing organization technical support <br />and coaching. His past partnership work with community-based organizations and local government <br />received the following recognitions: the 2015 from the MN <br />Women in Transportation Seminar and an award for in 2017 <br />from the MN Department of Transportation. <br />Currently he works in the health care sector facilitating partnerships between clinical providers and <br />community-based organizations to advance health equity. This has included coordinating COVID-19 <br />responses and facilitating an expansion of health careservices within a large racially diverse affordable <br />housing development in partnership with community stakeholders. <br />Larry Hiscock has a degree from Metropolitan State University in Community Development and Social <br />Change. He has secured a Master of Public Affairs from the Humphrey School. He is also a Leader in <br />Program (2018-21)which is a national <br />leadership development effort. It fosters collaboration between people from all fields and professions <br />that have an influence on population health.
