REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date:November 30, 2020 <br />Item No.: 7.e <br />Department Approval City Manager Approval <br />Item Description: Consider Adoption of 2021 City Council and Economic Development <br />Authority Calendar <br />1 B ACKGROUND <br />2 Annually,the City Council approves a meeting calendar for the upcoming year. Included as <br />3 Attachment A is the proposed 2021 City Council meeting calander. This calendar is similar to past <br />4 meeting schedules and takes into account holidays and past practices of limiting meetings in August <br />5 and December. <br />6 <br />7 The 2021 calendar schedule continues the inclusion of EDA meetings as partof City Council <br />8 meeting nights. As can be seen from Attachment A, staff is proposing that the City Council meet as <br />9 the EDA on abimonthly basis at the start of the City Council Work Sessions. The EDA approved the <br />10 calendar at their Novmber 9 meeting, therewas an error in the November dates on that calendar, and <br />11 the correct calendar is included as Attachment A. It is intended that these bimonthly meetings will <br />12 take care of most EDA business.
