The purpose of the hearing is to provide 8 citizens with an opportunity to provide input on city programs and the Budget and to gauge their 9 willingness to pay higher property taxes and fees in order to maintain programs at current service levels. 10 The City Council can then use this input to help guide the setting of a final tax levy and budget. 11 12 At the September 21, 2020 City Council meeting, the Council adopted a 2021 preliminary, not-to-exceed 13 tax levy and a preliminary budget.
