REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: January 4, 2021 <br />Item No.: 9.j <br />Department Approval City Manager Approval <br />Item Description: Approve Annual Contracts with Northeast Youth and Family Services <br />1 B ACKGROUND <br />2 The City of Roseville has long partnered with Northeast Youth and Family Services (NYFS) to <br />3 provide services to at-risk youth and families in Roseville. Included as Attachment A is the draft <br />4 contract between the City and NYFS for continuing services in 2021. The cost of this contract is <br />5 $72,544 and has been included in the 2021 City Budget. <br />6 <br />7 In addition, the City also contracts with NYFS to help fund a Community Advocate position to <br />8 provide assistance to individuals and families referred by law enforcement agencies. Roseville <br />9 has partnered with NYFS on this program since 2019 and has found this program helpful in <br />10 providing resources for persons and families in crisis. The annual cost for Roseville is $20,000. <br />11 The cities of Mounds View, New Brighton, and White Bear Lake also participate in the <br />12 Community Advocate program.
