Why do you want to serve on this Commission? I’ve lived and worked in Roseville for over 44 years and worked with RPD officers while serving as a Roseville firefighter. I appreciated the professionalism I saw displayed by RPD from a citizen’s and firefighter’s perspective. I wish to help Roseville continue to have a very professional and highly regarded police force. What is your view of the role of this Commission? I understand the charter of the Commission to be two-fold – (1) to review the employment practices of the RPD to ensure they are fair and in compliance with Minnesota statutes; and (2) to monitor and to make determinations concerning RPD employment practices. What specific skills or experiences do you have that would be beneficial in serving on the advisory commission for which you are applying? Three decades experience in private industry and the military working with institutional personnel practices, suggesting improvement to the practices, and ensuring the practices are followed. Civic and Volunteer Activities Roseville Planning Commission member – 6 years, including 2 years as chair. Roseville Fire Department – 21 years, holding positions from Firefighter to Deputy Chief Roseville Fire Department Building Facilities Needs Committee – Member Employer Support of Guard & Reserve (ESGR) – 10 years- Member & Ombudsman Applewood Pointe Cooperative of Roseville at Langton Lake – 8 years – Board Director & President Work Experience - Principal software engineer, consultant & manager – 39 years - Commissioned Officer – US Army Reserve – 30 years – commanded at the company, battalion, and brigade level; Education - Bachelor of Science – Computer Science - Master of Science – Computer Science Is there additional information you would like the City Council to consider regarding your application?
