I think this is an excellent chance to be involved with
how Roseville shapes it’s future. I haven’t been in Roseville that long, but I moved here because I like
how Roseville does business. I love the parks, walkways and bike paths all over town. I think this is a
great place to live, and I want to be involved in making it even better.
What is your view of the role of this Commission?
As these are advisory commissions, I would view the primary role as to advice the city council, mayor,
and city manager on citizen input. An advisory commission can also serve to bring ideas forward on what’s happening in the city,
and new ideas of how to keep the city moving forward.
What specific skills or experiences do you have that would be beneficial in serving on the advisory
commission for which you are applying?
I’ve worked in government much of my life, I’ve worked a a business analyst and project manager in
government, I’ve got a masters in public policy, and I’ve spent hundreds of hours volunteering in the
community. I understand that a city is a collection of different voices finding a way forward. I’m familiar
with policy and data analysis, and while I don’t expect to be doing those in an advisory role, I think it’s
really important to understand those tools and how they show what may or may not work, and what
picture the data is really showing. I understand how state and federal regulation and funding may
dictate how planning is done, and projects are carried out. I’m effective at working within that construct
