We have a wonderful park system, however, I know that the parks will need care <br />and change, and in some cases expanded use by residents. I feel I can contribute to this commission to <br />meet these needs. It was requested that I apply for this position and I am also a firm believer in <br />volunteering and giving back <br />What is your view of the role of this Commission? <br />Listen and talk to residents to better understand the wants and needs our residents have for our city <br />parks and programs. Get to know and take part in all of our parks and better promote them to Roseville <br />residents Help guide the Parks Department with planning, restoration and revitalizing our parks for <br />current and future use. Know and understand the goals of the policies of the Comprehensive Plan as it <br />pertains to Parks, Open Space and Recreation and work towards achieving these goals. Be forward <br />thinking in planning for the Parks Department future plans. <br />What specific skills or experiences do you have that would be beneficial in serving on the advisory <br />commission for which you are applying? <br />In my business career, I built a strong reputation as a facilitator, able to work with diverse groups and <br />individuals, bringing divergent ideas to common agreed upon solutions.
