Why do you want to serve on this Commission? I have always felt the drive to be involved in my local community in an attempt to better it for all. To that end, I have volunteered with various organizations, attended city planning meetings, city council meetings and reached out to city official when I felt it was needed. I see these Commissions as a way to get more involved in making the City of Roseville a better place to be for all. What is your view of the role of this Commission? To me, the Commissions are responsible for making informed suggestions to other areas that can then take action on those suggestions. The members of the Commissions are also responsible for being informed well enough to make those suggestions. What specific skills or experiences do you have that would be beneficial in serving on the advisory commission for which you are applying? I have a degree in Sports Management from the University of Minnesota. Part of that course of study is Parks and Recreation management. I have also been involved in coaching youth sports teams in Roseville, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Eagan, Apple Valley and Richfield. Most of those league are run by the various cities Parks and Recreation organizations. I also have a 10-year-old daughter that is an active user of Roseville's parks and facilities giving me some first-hand experience i using these facilities. If you identified a second choice commission, please include skills or experiences that would be beneficial for serving on that commission.
