6) STAFF REPORT <br />a) NEW OR RELEVANT COMMUNICATIONS AND UPDATE ITEMS <br /> Operations Update <br />o Staff confirmed the joint meeting between the City Council and Parks and Recreation <br />Commission is confirmed for Monday, January 31, 2022. <br />o The deer management program iscurrently underway. The United States Department <br />of Agriculture (USDA) has been out two nights and removed 19 deer. <br />o The January – April 2022 Parks and Recreation brochure is anticipated to be in <br />resident mailboxes in early January. <br />o Open Mic Night at the Cedarholm Community Building on January 20 at 7p.m. <br />o Candlelight Snowshoeing at the Cedarholm Community Building and Golf Course on <br />January 28 <br /> <br />7) OTHER <br />Chair Hoag confirmed that the Commissioners who previously agreed to present at the joint <br />Commission and City Council meeting would still be available on January 31 to present. The <br />presenters previously agreed upon included: <br /> Introduction – Chair Hoag or Vice-Chair Dahlstrom <br /> Pocahontas Park Renaming – Commissioners Lenhart and Baggenstoss <br />The Commissioners above confirmed that they are available to present either virtually or in person <br />on January 31. <br /> <br />Commissioner Lenhart asked how often the outdoor ice rinks are resurfaced.
