Proposals <br />for new pads have been received using the Best Value procurement process and are <br />being reviewed by staff. <br />o The annual Roseville Skate School Ice Shows will be April 28-30. <br />o The contractor for the Evergreen pickleball courts and tennis courts is <br />ready to move forward. An average temperature of 50 degrees is needed to start the <br />project. The entire project will take approximately one month, starting with the <br />completion of the tennis courts before converting Evergreen Park to pickleball courts. <br />o The first community meeting for the Accelerated Emerald Ash Borer Program was <br />last week. The vendor, Tree Trust, will begin removing trees this spring in the <br />southeast quadrant of the city, and will continue with removals working <br />counterclockwise. Initial focus will be on the trees in the worst condition. Residents <br />will be notified of any trees that will be removed, trees will be marked with a pink <br />ring and homeowners will be provided an informational door-hanger. <br />o Volunteer tree planting on Saturday, June 4. <br />o Cedarholm Golf Course is planning to open on April 6. <br />o Granite City will have an upcoming soft-opening at the Cedarholm Golf Course <br />Community Building. <br />o Summer staff are still needed at Roseville Parks and Recreation. The typical age is <br />16+ for jobs. However, is someone who is younger is interestedthey are encouraged <br />to apply. <br />o There are many programs and special events coming up. <br />o The virtual option for Commission meetings is through April, 2022. Unless the <br />Mayor’s declaration is extended the May Commissionmeeting will be in-person. <br />o Kite Day on April 20 (10:00a.m – 12:00pm) at Rosebrook Park. Advanced <br />registration is needed to ensure there is a kite for all participants. <br />o Upcoming Adult Trips include: Footloose at Chanhassen Dinner Theatre on April 6, <br />State Capital Tour on May 17, Osceola Train Trip on June 23. <br />7) OTHER <br />Commissioner Lenhart asked for further information regarding the pad replacement at the Guidant <br />John Rose MN OVAL.
