Green Team <br />Annual Update <br />On May 7, 2018, the City Council approved Resolution #11507 that <br />named the Public Works Environment and Transportation <br />Commission as the Green Step Cities Green Team. <br />Per the resolution, the Green Team shall: <br />• Approve and make available to the community an annual <br />sustainability update report containing goals and outcomes of <br />community plans and sustainability initiatives. <br />• Evaluate existing and proposed policies to identify any overlooked <br />opportunities for pursuing sustainability and environmental <br />stewardship, and make recommendations for amending these <br />policies. <br />• Undertake its best efforts to communicate with and engage <br />residents, businesses and institutions in the implementation of <br />sustainable practices to help meet City goals. <br />• Advise City staff members and officials on efforts to educate <br />community members about the City vision and ongoing <br />opportunities to participate in sustainability initiatives. <br />• Collect feedback from the community and provide <br />recommendations for utilizing this feedback to improve City <br />practices and programs. <br />• Provide recommendations for further research and programs to <br />implement in the City to promote sustainability and protect the <br />environment. <br />
