Roseville Public Works, Environment
and Transportation Commission
Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at 6:30 p.m.
City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville, Minnesota 55113
Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 13.D. 021, Public Works, Environment
and Transportation Commission members, City Staff, and members of the
public participated in this meeting electronically due to the
COVID-19 pandemic.
1 1. Introduction / Roll Call
2 Chair Wozniak called the meeting to order at approximately 6:30 p.m. and at his
3 request, Public Works Director Marc Culver called the roll.
4
5 Present: Chair Joe Wozniak; Vice Chair Bryant Ficek; and Members Michael
6 Joyce, Jarrod Cicha, Nancy Misra, Mike Collins and Shane Spencer
7
8 Absent: Youth Member Rose Gasongo (Excused)
9
10 Staff Present: Public Works Director Marc Culver; City
11 Engineer/Assistant Public Works Director Jesse
12 Freihammer; Civil Engineer Stephanie Smith, and
13 Environmental Specialist Ryan Johnson
14
15 Commissioner Collins arrived at 6:34 p.m.
16
17 2. Public Comments
18 Ms. Priscilla Morton, 2593 Western, wanted to comment about the discussion in
19 November regarding climate emergency. She hoped that of any body in Roseville
20 who would support the words "climate emergency" would be the PWETC. If this
21 group is the Sustainability and the Green Team and they know they are in climate
22 emergency, she would urge the Commission to go ahead and use those terms. She
23 indicated she did not see the memo or all the wording in the resolution so she does
24 not know what the hesitation was but she would urge the City to support that
25 terminology. The second thing aboutthat was it concerned herthat this Commission
26 was willing to take on all of the sustainability efforts, all the stuff that has been
27 done and all that needs to be done, to have only one quarter of a Commission
28 working on this, seems like it is under staffed and a low level of attention for the
Page 1 of 9
