Roseville Public Works, Environment <br />and Transportation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Roseville, Minnesota 55113 <br />Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 13.D. 021, Public Works, Environment <br />and Transportation Commission members, City Staff, and members of the <br />public participated in this meeting electronically due to the <br />COVID-19 pandemic. <br />1 1. Introduction / Roll Call <br />2 Chair Wozniak called the meeting to order at approximately 6:30 p.m. and at his <br />3 request, Public Works Director Marc Culver called the roll. <br />4 <br />5 Present: Chair Joe Wozniak; Vice Chair Bryant Ficek; and Members Michael <br />6 Joyce, Jarrod Cicha, Nancy Misra, Mike Collins and Shane Spencer <br />7 <br />8 Absent: Youth Member Rose Gasongo (Excused) <br />9 <br />10 Staff Present: Public Works Director Marc Culver; City <br />11 Engineer/Assistant Public Works Director Jesse <br />12 Freihammer; Civil Engineer Stephanie Smith, and <br />13 Environmental Specialist Ryan Johnson <br />14 <br />15 Commissioner Collins arrived at 6:34 p.m. <br />16 <br />17 2. Public Comments <br />18 Ms. Priscilla Morton, 2593 Western, wanted to comment about the discussion in <br />19 November regarding climate emergency. She hoped that of any body in Roseville <br />20 who would support the words "climate emergency" would be the PWETC. If this <br />21 group is the Sustainability and the Green Team and they know they are in climate <br />22 emergency, she would urge the Commission to go ahead and use those terms. She <br />23 indicated she did not see the memo or all the wording in the resolution so she does <br />24 not know what the hesitation was but she would urge the City to support that <br />25 terminology. The second thing aboutthat was it concerned herthat this Commission <br />26 was willing to take on all of the sustainability efforts, all the stuff that has been <br />27 done and all that needs to be done, to have only one quarter of a Commission <br />28 working on this, seems like it is under staffed and a low level of attention for the <br />Page 1 of 9 <br />
