135Commissioner Arneson noted a specific area near the waterfall in Central Park that has small litter <br />136items on the ground. <br />137 <br />138Commissioner Lenhart asked if there is something that the Commission can do to address or limit <br />139the amount of litter in the parks. The Commission discussed the potential sources of the litter. <br />140 <br />141Commissioner Lenhart asked about an outreachschedulefor the Pocahontas Park name engagement. <br />142Staff relayed that there will be multiplelargercommunity outreach opportunitiesalong with more <br />143focused outreachtowards the residents near Pocahontas Park. Also, many indigenous groups have <br />144been contacted or have reached out to staff regarding the project. Onenew name,utilizing the <br />145Dakota language,has alreadybeen submitted. It is anticipated that multiplename suggestions will be <br />146provided for the Commission later this yearafter being reviewed by indigenous groups or <br />147individuals. <br />148 <br />149Commissioner Lenhart relayed that she would like to see the outreach plan and that she knows a <br />150resident who would like to propose the name of Friendship Park. She asked how potential name <br />151suggestions should be submitted by residents.
