Miscellaneous Updates: • Neel Gas Project o Neel Energy will be completing its Northeast Metro Gas project this summer. The gas main will be replaced on County Road B between Hamline Avenue and Lexington Avenue and on Hamline Avenue between County Road B and County Road C. Work began on Monday April 16. Current work is on Hamline Avenue with the following impacts: • Hamline Avenue, between Brooks Avenue/Willow Circle and County Road B2 • Line installation and material staging. • One-way northbound only traffic. • Hamline Avenue, between County Road B2 and County Road B • Line installation, material staging and restoration. • One-way northbound only traffic. • Sidewalk and crosswalk closures. • County Road B, between Hamline Avenue and Lexington Avenue • Line installation, material staging and restoration. • One-way westbound only traffic. Council Update: • Below is a highlight of items recently presented to and/or acted on by the City Council. More information can be found in the agenda packets and minutes for the referenced Council meeting. o July 11 • PWETC Joint Meeting • Awarded contract for Community -Wide Visioning Process. • Approved a resolution condemning the use of discriminatory covenants, discharging discriminatory covenants on city -owned property, and approving participation in the Just Deeds Coalition • Approve Final Payment for 2021 Sanitary Sewer Main Lining o July 18 • Received Preliminary 2023-2042 Capital Improvement Plan Sustainability Update • Roseville currently holds the lead spot in number of Home Energy Squad visits per capita in the Intercity Home Energy Squad challenge: https://www.mncee.org/2022-intercity- challenge-home-energy-s quad. • BikeMN's Bikeable Community workshop took place in Roseville last week to look for opportunities to improve bike/ped infrastructure and planning. Staff from City of Roseville Public Works + Parks & Rec, Ramsey County, MnDOT, Roseville school district, and MN Dept. of Health were in attendance in addition to several members of the community. • City CounciFEDA-approved modification of the existing "Green Award" program to include businesses and gave staff freedom to update and implement as we see fit. • Staff hosted MREA Grow Solar "Power Hour" Thursday 7/21 on Zoom to inform residents about getting started with residential solar systems and information about a Twin Cities group purchase opportunity this year. (We are also hoping to simulcast this webinar on Nine North, pending MREA's approval.) • Staff met with Roseville PD Community Action Team/Housing Coordinator to distribute information about energy assistance during their weekly open hours at the Roseville library.
