Miscellaneous Updates: <br />• Neel Gas Project <br />o Neel Energy will be completing its Northeast Metro Gas project this summer. The gas <br />main will be replaced on County Road B between Hamline Avenue and Lexington <br />Avenue and on Hamline Avenue between County Road B and County Road C. Work <br />began on Monday April 16. Current work is on Hamline Avenue with the following <br />impacts: <br />• Hamline Avenue, between Brooks Avenue/Willow Circle and County Road B2 <br />• Line installation and material staging. <br />• One-way northbound only traffic. <br />• Hamline Avenue, between County Road B2 and County Road B <br />• Line installation, material staging and restoration. <br />• One-way northbound only traffic. <br />• Sidewalk and crosswalk closures. <br />• County Road B, between Hamline Avenue and Lexington Avenue <br />• Line installation, material staging and restoration. <br />• One-way westbound only traffic. <br />Council Update: <br />• Below is a highlight of items recently presented to and/or acted on by the City Council. <br />More information can be found in the agenda packets and minutes for the referenced <br />Council meeting. <br />o July 11 <br />• PWETC Joint Meeting <br />• Awarded contract for Community -Wide Visioning Process. <br />• Approved a resolution condemning the use of discriminatory covenants, <br />discharging discriminatory covenants on city -owned property, and approving <br />participation in the Just Deeds Coalition <br />• Approve Final Payment for 2021 Sanitary Sewer Main Lining <br />o July 18 <br />• Received Preliminary 2023-2042 Capital Improvement Plan <br />Sustainability Update <br />• Roseville currently holds the lead spot in number of Home Energy Squad visits per capita <br />in the Intercity Home Energy Squad challenge: https://www.mncee.org/2022-intercity- <br />challenge-home-energy-s quad. <br />• BikeMN's Bikeable Community workshop took place in Roseville last week to look for <br />opportunities to improve bike/ped infrastructure and planning. Staff from City of Roseville <br />Public Works + Parks & Rec, Ramsey County, MnDOT, Roseville school district, and MN <br />Dept. of Health were in attendance in addition to several members of the community. <br />• City CounciFEDA-approved modification of the existing "Green Award" program to <br />include businesses and gave staff freedom to update and implement as we see fit. <br />• Staff hosted MREA Grow Solar "Power Hour" Thursday 7/21 on Zoom to inform residents <br />about getting started with residential solar systems and information about a Twin Cities <br />group purchase opportunity this year. (We are also hoping to simulcast this webinar on <br />Nine North, pending MREA's approval.) <br />• Staff met with Roseville PD Community Action Team/Housing Coordinator to distribute <br />information about energy assistance during their weekly open hours at the Roseville library. <br />
