General interest in expanding the education and promotion of this movement/event Speed Limit: Concerns from a couple of councilmembers over effectiveness of changing speed limits without extreme increases in enforcement which we can't commit to What has been the result (and compliance rate) in St Paul and Minneapolis? What would be the budget impact for new signs and enforcement Support from multiple councilmembers to lower speed limits, at the very least on the "lowest functional class" of roadway within the City. Essentially, a citywide residential street speed limit. Take Out Food Containers: Support to ban Styrofoam and #6 plastic containers Look at other options Make sure we engage with food service providers and help them find alternatives at similar/same price point. Connect them with other resources and grants at the County and State level Phased in approach Commission Name Change: Ok to consider this from time to time. General consensus that it is good to discuss this and make a recommendation. Make sure to look at and adjust scope first and then consider the commission name Original name was simply "Public Works Commission"
