1 EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING 2 OF THE 3 CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE 4 5 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * 6 7 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of rd Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 23 8 day of May, 2022, at 6:00 9 p.m. 10 11 The following members were present: Willmus, Strahan, Etten, Groff, and Mayor Roe 12 and the following were absent: None. 13 14 Member _________ introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: 15 16 17 RESOLUTION No. XXXXX 18 19 RESOLUTION COMMENDING LONNIE BROKKE FOR HIS DEDICATED SERVICE 20 TO THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE AS PARKS AND RECREATON DIRECTOR 21 22 WHEREAS, Lonnie Brokke began his job with Roseville in 1990 as a Roseville’s Park and 23 Recreation Assistant Director; and 24 25 WHEREAS, in 2002, Mr. Brokke was promoted to the Roseville Parks and Recreation Director; 26 and 27 28 WHEREAS, Mr. Brokke will be retiring from the City of Roseville after serving the community 29 for 32 years; and 30 31 WHEREAS, Mr. Brokke has served the City of Roseville with integrity, professionalism, and 32 dedication throughout his career; and 33 34 WHEREAS, Mr. Brokke demonstrated superior leadership and professionalism in managing 35 Roseville’s Parks and Recreation programs and services; and 36 37 WHEREAS, Mr. Brokke’s accomplishments during his tenure are too long to list, but several 38notable accomplishments include; the construction, maintenance, and repair of the Guidant John 39Rose Minnesota OVAL that hosts regional, national, and international events, completion of the 40Parks and Recreation System Master Plan and subsequent implementation of the Parkand 41Recreation Renewal Program, the construction of Cedarholm Community Building,and being a 42 nationally accredited park and recreation agency since 1994; and 43
