<br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date:June 20, 2022 <br /> Item No 10.b <br />Department Approval City Manager Approval <br />Item Description: Approval of 2022-2023 Business License Renewals <br /> <br />1 <br />2 B ACKGROUND <br />3 Chapter 301 of the City Code requires all applications for businessand other license renewalsto be submitted <br />4 to the City Council for approval. In addition to the renewals approved at the June 6, 2022 city council <br />5 meeting, the City has received the following renewal applications for the 2022-2023 license year: <br />6 <br />7 6 Cigarette/Tobacco Products Licenses <br />8 1 Gas Pump – Private License <br />9 5 Gas Station Licenses <br />10 1 Veterinary Examination Licenses <br />11 <br />12 Below are violations by businesses within the past 2 years: <br />13 <br />14 Speedway, 2172 Lexington Ave-Tobacco Failure on 11/14/2020 <br />15 <br />16 P OLICY O BJECTIVE <br />17 Required by City Code <br />18 F INANCIAL I MPACTS <br />19 The correct fees were paid to the City at the time the applicationswere madefor most applicants. <br />20 S TAFF R ECOMMENDATION <br />21 Staff has reviewed the applications and has determined that the applicants meet all City requirements.
