REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date:July 18, 2022 <br />Item No.:7.a <br />Department ApprovalCity Manager Approval <br />Item Description:ReceivethePreliminary2023-2042Capital Improvement Plan <br />1 B ACKGROUND <br />2 At the April 18, 2022City Council meeting, the Council established a general timeline for the 2023 <br />3 budget process including the following key dates: <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 The next step in the2022Budget Process is to review the 2023-2042Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). <br />8 <br />9 The CIP represents the City’s long-term plan for replacing its infrastructure, facilities, and vehicles & <br />10 equipment; all of which play acritical role in the provision of city programs and services. This Plan <br />11 contains assumptions on asset lifespans and replacement costs. It also assumes that all existing city <br />12 functions and programs will continue at current service levels and the City’s asset and infrastructure needs <br />13 will remain unchanged moving forward. <br />14 <br />15 <br />Page 1of 13 <br /> <br />
