EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCILOF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ** ** ** ** * * * * ** ** * 1 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of th 2 Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on ____day of July, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. 3 4 The following members were present: ; and and the following members were absent: . 5 6 Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: 7 8 RESOLUTION NO. 9 10 RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE PURCHASE OF A CONSERVATION PARCEL, LOT 2 ND 11 BLOCK 2,KRANK 2ADDITION,FROM RAMSEY COUNTY 12 13 WHEREAS, the County of Ramsey manages and holds in trust certain tax-forfeited property described nd 14 as Lot 2, Block 2, Krank 2Addition, located within the municipal bounds of the City of Roseville; 15 16 WHEREAS, the County of Ramsey classifies said property as a Conservation Parcel under Minnesota 17 Statutes Chapter 282; 18 19 WHEREAS, a portion of theConservation Parcel is under Easement, Document 2062216, with Rice 20 Creek Watershed District for maintaining and repairing County Ditch No. 4; 21 22 WHEREAS, a portion of theConservationParcel is currently used bythe City of Roseville for storm 23 water management though the use of a storm water basin and variousdrainage pipes and structures, 24; 25 26 WHEREAS, thefutureconstruction of abituminous pathway across and through said Conservation 27 Parcel from Terrace Avenue into Oasis Park (City Project 22-13, Twin Lakes Trail Phase 2) is 28 contemplated within the City of 29 RosevillePathway Master Plan; and 30 31 WHEREAS,in order to construct the proposed pathway,the acquisition of the Conservation Parcel is 32 necessary;and, 33 34 WHEREAS, in addition to and as part of such Conservation Parcel pathway use, the City of Roseville 35 intends to use the Conservation Parcel for: (1) continued drainage and storage of stormwater as part 36 of its Stormwater Management Plan; and, (2) continued preservation of the land in its natural state. 37 38 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota: 39 40 1.The City of Roseville hereby requests pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 282.01, subd. 41 1a(a),that the County of Ramseywithhold the sale of the Conservation Parcel from any other 42 party for a period of up to six (6) months. 43
