REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: July 25, 2022 <br />Item No.: 10.e <br />Department Approval City Manager Approval <br />Item Description: Set Date to Canvass Primary Election <br />1 B ACKGROUND <br />2 Per Minnesota State Statute 205.065subd. 5, amunicipality shall canvass an election either on <br />3 the second or third day after the primary election. The City Council meets as the canvassing <br />4 board, canvassesthe returns, and declares the results of the election. <br />5 <br />6 Ramsey County provides the vote tally and Council accepts the returns.
