Attachment A <br /> <br />1 ORDINANCE NO. <br />2 <br />3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />4 TITLE 3, SECTION 309 <br />5 MASSAGE THERAPY <br />6 <br />7 The City Council of the City of Roseville does ordain: <br />8 <br />9 SECTION 1: Title 3, Section 309.03 (G), Granting, Denying or Revoking of Massage Therapy <br />10 Establishment Licenses of the Roseville City Code is amended to read as follows: <br />11 <br />12 G. Total Licenses: After November 9, 2021 _________ no new Massage Therapy <br />13 Establishment licenses shall be issued, sold, or transferred, and no Massage Therapy <br />14 Establishment licenses shall be reinstated following denial, revocation, or non-renewal <br />15 unless fewer than twenty-five (25) ______ total Massage Therapy Establishment licenses <br />16 exist in the City. Thereafter, the total Massage Therapy Establishment licenses in the City <br />17 shall not exceed twenty-five (25) ______ at any one time. <br />18 <br />19 SECTION 2: Title 3, Section 309.04 (A) and (C), Licenses for Massage Therapists of the Roseville <br />20 City Code is amended to read as follows: <br />21 <br />22 A. Application for License: Any person desiring to be licensed as a massage therapist shall file <br />23 an application on forms provided by the City Manager. The application shall contain such <br />24 information as the City Manager may require, including, but not limited to:(Ord. 1329, 11-14- <br />25 05) <br />26 1. The applicant's full name, address, social security number and written proof of age. <br />27 2. The name and address of the licensed massage therapy establishment by which the <br />28 applicant expects to be employed. <br />29 3. A statement concerning whether the person has been convicted of or entered a plea of <br />30 guilty to any crime or ordinance violation and, if so, information as to the time, place and <br />31 nature of such crime or offense. <br />32 4. Proof that the applicant meets the following educational requirements: <br />33 a. A diploma or certificate of graduation from a school approved by the American <br />34 Massage Therapist Association or other similar reputable massage association; or <br />35 b. A diploma or certificate of graduation from a school which is either accredited by a <br />36 recognized educational accrediting association or agency or is licensed by the State or <br />37 local government agency having jurisdiction over the school. <br />38 c. Each applicant shall also furnish proof at the time of application of a minimum of <br />39 600 hours of successfully completed course work in the following areas: <br />40 (1) The theory and practice of massage, including, but not limited to, Swedish, <br />41 Esalen, Shiatsu and/or foot reflexology techniques; and <br />42 (2) Anatomy, including, but not limited to, skeletal and muscular structure and <br />43 organ placement; and <br />44 (3) Hygiene. <br />45 <br />Underline reflects new language, strikethrough reflects deleted language <br /> <br />
