Sustainability Update <br />• Staff continues to refine the Roseville Sustainability Steward Program. There has been <br />progress with the application process, checklist, and the program now has a draft logo: <br />1`�t���y <br />SUSTAINABLE STEWARD <br />• City outreach & sustainability staff attended the Rice & Larpenteur Summer Block Party on <br />August 13. There was a good turnout and staff engaged attendees with sustainability trivia <br />and handed out LED lightbulbs and other items to residents that stopped by the booth. <br />• Staff sent a mailing to 1,500 households with information about Home Energy Squad <br />discounts, A/C Saver's Switch program, and water efficiency rebates. <br />Major Maintenance Activities: <br />• Street and Storm <br />o Completed new bubbler hose connection at Bennett Lake Waterfall. <br />o Completed 30,000 LF of pavement crack sealing. <br />o Ongoing Street patching. <br />o Ongoing Streetscape weeding. <br />o Ongoing Catch Basin repairs. <br />o Ongoing Sign Work repairs and change outs. <br />o Ongoing monthly leaf/compost turning at the Leaf Recycling Center. <br />o Responded to miscellaneous tree calls for fallen tree branches. <br />• Water and Sanitary Sewer <br />o Located city -owned facilities for Gopher State One Call locate requests. <br />o Made weekly site visits to all lift stations. <br />o Repaired two broken water mains. <br />o Continued repairing water meters and MIUs. <br />o Worked with IT to restore communications on SCADA at the Booster Station. <br />o Continued working with contractor and electrician on motor issues at the ST. Croix <br />storm water lift station. (Filters are in. Working on setting a date for install.) <br />o Collected water samples for bacteriological and disinfection byproducts. <br />o Continued working with AE2S on the 2021 SCADA System Upgrades. <br />o Continued laundering towels weekly used by office personnel for cleaning work areas. <br />o Attended the preconstruction meeting for the Lexington Avenue and County Road B <br />water Main Projects. <br />o In progress the 2022 sanitary sewer cleaning program. <br />o Started locating stop boxes along County Road B for the water main project. <br />o Cleaned lift stations. <br />o Generators have been serviced and inspected. <br />o Darien Schifsky is now the working foreman. <br />o Valve and Vault has been ordered for the Western Street project. <br />Attachments <br />A: 2022 Roseville Project Map <br />B: August Development Activity Report <br />C: Sustainable Roseville August Update <br />
