Staff relayed <br />that there was an attempt to use private property but no deer were removed from the location due to <br />safety and site restrictions. <br />Commissioner Brown motioned to recommend that the city request 49deer tags from the DNR for <br />the 2022/23 deer reduction program in Roseville, with the understanding that not all tags need to be <br />utilized. Seconded by Commissioner Arneson. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Arneson, Brown, Dahlstrom, Hoag, Lenhart, Matts-Benson, Ybarra. <br />Nays: None. <br />Abstain: None. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed the recipients of the deer meat from the Roseville reduction program. <br /> <br /> <br />6) STAFF REPORT <br />a) DEPARTMENTAL UPDATES <br /> Over 100 volunteers participated in planting over 5,000 flowers in Central Park along <br />Lexington Ave. The majority of the flowers were donated by Friends of Roseville Parks. <br /> The Roseville School of Dance Recital had over 100 participants. <br /> The Roseville Figure Skating Competition took place with participants competing from <br />all over the Midwest. <br /> 22 rentals took place in one weekend last month at the Roseville Park Buildings. In <br />addition, the outdoor picnic shelters are booked most weekends. Staff also relayed that <br />the bathrooms at all the shelters are open from dawn until sun-down. <br /> Community engagement meetings are underway for the new playgrounds at Pioneer and <br />Owasso Hills Parks. The new playgrounds are anticipated to be done this fall via <br />community builds. <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />
