I have increased my involvement with the city of Roseville through volunteering but would love to
expand my engagement with the city's work related specifically to environmental sustainability and
infrastructure that supports community members in an equitable way.

Please describe any activities, specific skills or experiences you have that you feel would be beneficial to
serving on the advisory commission(s) for which you are applying.
I have a Bachelor's of Science from UW-Eau Claire, with a Biology major (focusing on plant biology). I
have a Master's in Nursing (with a RN license and Public Health Certification) and currently work in
Reproductive Healthcare in a role where I provide clinical training and development opportunities to
new and existing employees. I am passionate about social justice, reproductive justice, and applying an
equity lens to the work that I do on a day to day basis. I have enjoyed working with the city of Roseville
to do volunteer buckthorn and garlic mustard removal and plant trees. I routinely spend personal time
collecting trash in local parks, residential areas, and wetlands.

As a commissioner on your preferred commission(s), how could you contribute to the City's equity and
inclusion initiatives?
I am constantly working to develop my own knowledge about DEI related topics by listening to podcasts,
reading articles and books, attending webinars/continuing education seminars, and engaging in
discussions both in professional and personal settings. I am on the DEI committee at my full-time job
with current projects including developing an equity style guide, drafting/reviewing Standard Operating
Procedures, and advocating for application of an equity lens in the work my organization does. I am a
mother of two young children which has helped me gain perspective on how my privilege impacts the
experience of parenting and how we might better support other parents who don't have those same
privileges, are from marginalized communities, or who lack representation. I by no means expect to
represent all marginalized folks but what I will commit to is amplifying voices of those who have lived on
the margins, creating space for people to be included in conversations that affect their lives (and the
lives of their family), and advocating for the rights of those in my community.

Preferred method to be contacted
Email
