World Car -Free Day World Car -Free Day is on September 22! Move Minnesota, Move Minneapolis, Metro Transit, and others are providing re- sources and planning events to help you replace a drive -alone car trip with walking, biking, or taking the bus! Take the commuter pledge to do a car -free commute to work any day between September 1 st and September 22nd and be entered into a drawing to win prizes like a Go -To card or an e- scooter! The Car -Free MSP partners are hosting multiple events in September to celebrate. Check out the website for more information and resources to get started with taking alternative forms of transportation to work or errands! The Redford Center also released a short vid- eo about UMN's research into transportation happiness levels based on mode type. Free Electronics Recycling for Ramsey County Residents If you're looking to get rid of old laptops, televisions, cell phones, or other electronics, there's now a FREE and easy way to recycle them. Ramsey County Environmental Health has a new collection site where county residents can drop off unwant- ed electronics (e-waste) which will be refurbished or recycled into new products. You can see the full list of accepted (and prohibited) items at this link. Items can be dropped off at Repowered (formerly TechDump), 860 Vandalia Street Saint Paul, MN 66114. Volunteer Opportunity We're looking for volunteers to help monitor recycling and com- postable waste stations at Tapped & Uncorked! Volunteer shifts are 2 hours each and include a discounted $10 ticket to the event —and a free tshirt!. Volunteers must be 21+, no exceptions.
