<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular meeting of the Village Council, Tue~day September 7, 1954 2 F. M. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the followin~; members present: <br />Carlson, Salverda, Olson, V'illmus, and Hammersten. B. H. Loftsgaarden, <br />Village Attorney, and Don Carley, Assi~tant Engineer, were al~o present. <br /> <br />Carlson moved, seconded by ~illmus that the minutes of the previous rAgular <br />meeting of August 17, be a~proved as presented by Mail, Roll Call-Ayes (5)- <br />Nayes (0). <br /> <br />John Kromout, Gas Inspector for Roseville, appeared before the Council ad- <br />,vising them that the job of inspecting gas installations was getting large <br />enough to keep an inspector busy full time. Being he has another job, he <br />suggested the Council hire Mr. Chris Peterson of 2491 St. Croix St. as a <br />full time inspector. Mr. Petersom is the head of the E amining Board for <br />.". <br />Gas Installers. The Council asked Mr. Kromhout to bring Mr. Peterson to the <br />next meeting so the Council members could meet h:t~. He said hp! would. <br /> <br />Mr. Smith of falcon Heights appeared before the Council and asked if Roseville <br />would compromise on the di~tance between treps, that are to be planted along <br />Roselawn in the Bolton St. area. Roseville requires 75 feet between tr~e~ but <br />these people would like to have it 60 feet. Orth, and Dale Scrensen, all living on No. Oxford St. just <br />north of Co. R . B. appeared before the Council in regard to a bad water con- drainage <br />dition in front of their houses and in back of some. Mr. Carley, Engineer, on Oxford <br />had been told about this condition and had looked into tY}e mat.ter quite thor- <br />oughly. He made several suggestions that the Council 'would have to act on. <br />Mr. Orth said be would be very happy to sign a drainage easement and the Engin- <br />eer was instructed to write one up for him, so something could be done this fall. <br /> <br />Mr. Ray Michael of 2071 Lindy approached the Council with the idea of constr- <br />ucting a service road around the area of Fernwooð and Lindy. It ~as decided <br />tha t the Engineer would wri te a 1 et ter to 1,:ír. Michael whf'Jn they have made a <br />survey of the area and give him an estimate of the job. The benefiten prop- <br />erty owners would be assAssed for the road. <br /> <br />Mr. Nilva, of Paster Enterprises appeared b~fore the Council with a request <br />to get the northerly 150 feet of their prope>ty rezoned to business. Their <br />property lies East of Lexington between Dionne and Roma. This rezoning would <br />border Roma St. on the North. The Council agreed to accept the Petition, <br />subject to receiving the Abstract. Certificate. It would then be referred to <br />the zoning board who will set a date for a hearing. <br /> <br />The 'aster Enterprises submitted plans for a 90 foot extention to their present <br />building at Dionne and Lexingtcn.
