REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date:October 10, 2022 <br />Item No.:7.c <br />Department ApprovalCity Manager Approval <br />Item Description:Considerarequest to perform anabatement forunresolved violationsof City <br />Code at 795 Terrace Dr. <br />1 B ACKGROUND <br />2 Thesubject propertyisan occupied, single family home. <br />3 Current violationsinclude: <br />4 o Inoperable vehicle (407.02.G.2.c,407.02.G.4.c407.04.A,D) <br />5 o Vehicles without current registration (407.02.G.4.b, 407.04.D) <br />6 As part of the Neighborhood Enhancement Program, this property was inspected on July11, <br />7 2022. Staff observedviolations and posted a doorhanger on the property. (Attachment D) <br />8 Follow up inspectionson July 21 and August 1, 2022showed no progress toward compliance <br />9 related to the inoperable vehicle. <br />10 This case was transferred from NEP to Code Enforcement on September 6, 2022. Code <br />11 Enforcement staff observed continuing violations and placed a door hanger on the vehicle. <br />12 Additional inspections on September 16 & 30 revealed no progress toward compliance. <br />13(Attachment E) <br />14 A notice of Council hearing was postedon September30, 2022.The resident left a voicemail <br />15 after the posting stating they intended to have the vehicle in compliance. Also, the resident <br />16 stated she would be in attendance for the Council hearing. Staff re-visited the property on <br />17 October 3, 2022, but the vehicle remained in violation. Staff attempted to return the call to the <br />18 resident, with no contact achieved. <br />19 As of the writing of this report the violations remain.
