The members :said that could We added to the budget. <br /> <br />It was suggested that Mr. Carley contact our Heating Inspector, John <br />Irromhout to see if he can draw up specifications, or suggest someone <br />to do so, for the needed gas boiler in the Village Hall. <br /> <br />The Village Engineer reported that no bids had been accepted for the <br />proposed watermain project in the Stuber Addition. He stated that it <br />had taken considerable time to obtain the necessary approvals of the <br />Water Department, Health Department, etc. The engineer suggested that <br />the Village Clerk be authorized to advertise for bids to be opendà on <br />October 19th, 1954 at 2 p.m.. The Council coneurred and voted to ad.- <br />vertise for these bids. ilWillmus moved, seconded bl Carlson that <br />we advertise for bids. Roll Call-Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />S45 <br /> <br />increase <br />fire fWld <br /> <br />gas boiler <br /> <br />The following resolution was read: <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Roseville has, in response <br />to a petition received for the installation at a six inch waterma1n on <br />Stuber Road, .Alameda St.,eet and Roms. Avenue, instructed the Village Engineer <br />to prepare plans and specifications for this improvement and <br />WHEREAS" these plans have been approved by the ViJ.J.age Council, the State <br />Health Department and the City of St. Paul Water Department and the Clerk has <br />been ordered to ad.vertise for bids for this work by private contractors and <br />WHEREAS, it shall become necessary for the City of St. Paul Water Department to <br />ins~ . the connections to their present 36 inch main located in Water Works <br />Road at the intersection of said road with Stuber Road and with Roma Avenue <br />and also to f'umish and install certain watermain and fittings including a <br />gate valve and a gate box at each of these locations and <br />1{HEREAS, the City of St. Paul Water Department is to furnish an inspector who <br />shall inspect the york done by the . City and &1.80 the material and workmanship <br />of the private contractor, <br />NOW'THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Council of the Village of Rosevi1le <br />does hereby request the City of St. Paul Wat.. Department to proceed with this <br />work and also to furnish the above mentioned inspector on this project during <br />such time as .. it is in actual progress and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of St. Paul Water Department be reimbursed <br />by the Village of Roseville for a.rJy expenc1ituns made in connection with this <br />project and that such payment be made to the Water Department of St. Paul by <br />the Village upon the recjipt of a statement from the Vater Department by the <br />Village Clerk. <br /> <br />Wi1.lmus moved" seconded by Hammersten that we send the resolution to the <br />City Water Dept.
