Miscellaneous Updates: <br />• Neel Gas Project <br />o Neel Energy will be completing its Northeast Metro Gas project this summer. The gas <br />main will be replaced on County Road B between Hamline Avenue and Lexington <br />Avenue and on Hamline Avenue between County Road B and County Road C. Work <br />began on Monday April 16. Current work is on Hamline Avenue with the following <br />impacts: <br />Hamline Avenue, between Rose Place and County Road C <br />• Line installation and material staging. <br />• One-way northbound only traffic. <br />• This should be opened by October 28. <br />County Road B, between Hamline Avenue and Lexington Avenue <br />• Line installation, material staging and restoration. <br />• One-way westbound only traffic. <br />• County Road B is anticipated to fully open on October 21. <br />Council Update: <br />• Below is a highlight of items recently presented to and/or acted on by the City Council. More <br />information can be found in the agenda packets and minutes for the referenced Council <br />meeting. <br />o September 12: Civic Campus Master Plan Pre -Design Project Update. <br />o September 19: Reviewed minimum fund balance policy for Street Maintenance Fund, <br />Finance Commission recommendations for 2023 Budget, appointed commission <br />members for Planning and PEWT Commissions. <br />Sustainability Update <br />• Tapped and Uncorked was on September 23 and was a Zero Waste Event for the first time. <br />Stats from the event will be in next month's Communication Items, but Eureka Recycling said <br />the event was a success. <br />Staff sent a mailing to 1,500 households with information about Home Energy Squad <br />discounts. <br />• Roseville's Sustainable Steward Award is now available and can be found at <br />htty://www.cityofroseville.com/1824/Sustainable-Steward-Award. Later this year, or early <br />2023, staff will start doing outreach to promote the program and hopefully get some people <br />lined up for 2023 awards. <br />Major Maintenance Activities: <br />• Street and Storm <br />o Ongoing street patching. <br />o Streetscape fall cut backs almost completed. <br />o Ongoing sign work repairs and change outs. <br />o Leaf Recycling Center opened. <br />o Responded to misc. tree calls for fallen tree branches. <br />o Arboretum parking lot and License Center parking lot prepped paved. Then parking lot <br />painted. <br />o Patched the 3 water breaks. <br />0 0.90 snowfall Friday 10/14/22. <br />• Water and Sanitary Sewer <br />o Collected water samples for bacteriological and disinfection byproducts. <br />o Located City -owned facilities for Gopher State One Call locate requests. <br />o Made weekly site visits to all lift stations. <br />
