Miscellaneous Updates: • Neel Gas Project o Neel Energy will be completing its Northeast Metro Gas project this summer. The gas main will be replaced on County Road B between Hamline Avenue and Lexington Avenue and on Hamline Avenue between County Road B and County Road C. Work began on Monday April 16. Current work is on Hamline Avenue with the following impacts: Hamline Avenue, between Rose Place and County Road C • Line installation and material staging. • One-way northbound only traffic. • This should be opened by October 28. County Road B, between Hamline Avenue and Lexington Avenue • Line installation, material staging and restoration. • One-way westbound only traffic. • County Road B is anticipated to fully open on October 21. Council Update: • Below is a highlight of items recently presented to and/or acted on by the City Council. More information can be found in the agenda packets and minutes for the referenced Council meeting. o September 12: Civic Campus Master Plan Pre -Design Project Update. o September 19: Reviewed minimum fund balance policy for Street Maintenance Fund, Finance Commission recommendations for 2023 Budget, appointed commission members for Planning and PEWT Commissions. Sustainability Update • Tapped and Uncorked was on September 23 and was a Zero Waste Event for the first time. Stats from the event will be in next month's Communication Items, but Eureka Recycling said the event was a success. Staff sent a mailing to 1,500 households with information about Home Energy Squad discounts. • Roseville's Sustainable Steward Award is now available and can be found at htty://www.cityofroseville.com/1824/Sustainable-Steward-Award. Later this year, or early 2023, staff will start doing outreach to promote the program and hopefully get some people lined up for 2023 awards. Major Maintenance Activities: • Street and Storm o Ongoing street patching. o Streetscape fall cut backs almost completed. o Ongoing sign work repairs and change outs. o Leaf Recycling Center opened. o Responded to misc. tree calls for fallen tree branches. o Arboretum parking lot and License Center parking lot prepped paved. Then parking lot painted. o Patched the 3 water breaks. 0 0.90 snowfall Friday 10/14/22. • Water and Sanitary Sewer o Collected water samples for bacteriological and disinfection byproducts. o Located City -owned facilities for Gopher State One Call locate requests. o Made weekly site visits to all lift stations.
