'" u ~d VILI..iGE OF ROSEVILtE <br />n J .. ,. meeting of the Village Council Wednesday October 13, 1954 8 p.m. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members present: <br />Carlson, Salverda, Olson, Willmus, and Hammersten. Jerry Loftsgaarden, <br />Village Attorney was also present. <br /> <br />Olsonmoved, Hammersten seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />be held over until the next meeting to give the Council a chance to study <br />them as they were very lengthy. Roll Oall Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Clerk read a letter from the County Surveyor's office which included <br />a map and a list of our village streets. They wanted to be advised as <br />to which stæets we wished to have plowed by them. Hammersten moved, <br />seconded by W1l1mus that the list be referred to Mr. Carley, Village <br />Engineer, for checking against last years' list. <br /> <br />A letter was read from the Horth Star Bus Co. requesting use of the <br />following route for additional bus service: Beginning at County Road D <br />and Fairview to Lydia, Lydia to Hamline, . H~ml ine to Garden, Garden to <br />Femvood, Fernwood to Lanpenteur.. Olson moved, seconded by Willmus, that <br />the route be approved. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Mr. Weatherby, along with three other men asked what could be done about <br />getting the area in back of Zuettel's Greenhouses on Larpenteur Ave. <br />cleaned up. They feel it is a health menace as well as a fire hazard. <br />Hammersten moved, Carlson seconded that a letter be written to Mr. Zuettel <br />gi vin~ him 30 days in which to clean up his property. Roll Call- <br />lyes (5)-N~es (0). <br /> <br />Geo. Reiling asked what had been done in the matter of allowing him. to <br />lay water mains in the Village Streets e Attorney suggested that <br />he have his lawyer draw up a for him, then the Village <br />Council will check it ove~th our at orney for approval. <br /> <br />The Clerk read a peti..tion from Mr. Krannak to rezone his property on <br />Fairview south of Co. Rd. C to an Industrial district. <br />Carlson moved, seconded by HaJmnersten that the Council accept the Krannak <br />peti tion and post notice as to the date of the public hearing, which is <br />to be held on November 3, 1954. ilJil...(i at 2 o'clock p.m. and by the <br />Zoning Board on Mon Evening Nov. 1. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Na18s (0). <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Carlson seconded that the Advance Construction Co. be <br />given Cou.ncil approval for the 30 foot extention to the east of their <br />shopping center on Lexington and Dionne. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Council was presented a new lease by the Library Board on the Library <br />at Hamline and County Road B. The lease was referred to the Attorney <br />for checking:. <br /> <br />A discussion was held on the mattet of repairing parts of the Library <br />Building. <br /> <br />Co.
