<br />VILLA.GE OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular meeting of the Vi11a.ge Council Tuesday Nov. 9, 1954 at 8 p.m. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members <br />presen1;: Carlson, Salverda, Olson and Hammersten. B. H. Lofts~a:rd en, <br />VillaKe Attorney, was also present. Willmus absent. <br /> <br />Olson moved, Carlson seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />be approved as presented to the members. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Clerk read letters from the State Highway Dept. and the County <br />Commissioners on the subject of the new proposed TH 10 across Island <br />Lake. Tl¡ey were both placed on file. <br /> <br />A letter vas read from the Engineer on the proposed Sherren St. Addition. <br />He suggested the turn-around at the south end should be made 30 feet <br />wide rather than 60 feet and the present turn-around on each side of <br />ShemJi St. . should be vacated at the time that this proposed street <br />is contructed and accepted by the Village. The Engineer pointed out <br />that it will be necessary for Mr. Lund to furnish and submit a ten- <br />tative plat. <br /> <br />The Clerk read a letter from 1-1r. Carley in reference to the proposed <br />Burke St. storm sewer. Carlson mOTed, Olson seconded that the Engineer <br />be authorized to contact the owners of the property at the east end of <br />Burke St. and try to get negotiations started with them. Roll Call <br />Ayes (4)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Herb Lynch, fire chief, asked the Council how Jiliey felt about the fire <br />department installing radios in their trucks. He was asked to investi- <br />gate the matter further and report back to the Council. <br /> <br />Mr. McDougal asked the Council if it would accept a 50 foot road so <br />Mor Ave. could be extended south to Roselavn. He was told the Engin- <br />eer would be sent to survey the land. <br /> <br />Socony-Vçuum Oil Co. presented specifications for a service station <br />to be located on the SE comer of Cleveland and Co. Rd. D. <br />Hammersten moved, seconded by Carlson the plans be approved and a per- <br />mit be issued.
