<br />559 <br /> <br />VILIAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br />Speoial meeting of the Village Council Wednesday Eve. Nov. 17, 1954 7:30 P. M. <br /> <br />The special meeting was oalled to order at 7 :45 by Mayor Olson with the <br />following members present: Carlson, Salverda, Olson, Willmus and Hamm- <br />ersten. Belden Loftsgaarden, Village Attorney was also present. <br /> <br />The Clerk read a letter from Mel Hurlbert regarding an investigation <br />he and his partner made of the present Village offioe as to future ex- <br />pansion and remodeling for more office spaoe. It was their thought <br />that the roof of the present Building would not warrant any extensive <br />expansion without a lot of alterations and reinforcements. <br /> <br />Olson moved, seconded byWillmus that the following resolution be adopted: <br />WHEREAS a resolution has been adopted to establish a munioipal <br />on-sale Liquor Store and <br />WHEREAS a location is necessary, be it further resolved that the <br />Village acquire a tract 300.560 feet on the north side of <br />County Road B just west of the intersed.tion of Pascal, for <br />the sum of $50.00 a front foot approximating a distance of <br />300 feet and the Village enter into a contract thereof for <br />acquiring said site, <br />.AND THAT such money as is necessary be taken from the Liquor fund <br />for the purchase of the tract until suoh time as the Bond <br />issue is made and then it be replaced. <br />Roll Call--Ayes Carlson, Olson, Willmus and Salverda. Hammersten-No. <br />(4)-(0). <br /> <br />The clerk brought up the Bossard Plat again. Hammersten moved, Willmus <br />seconded we accept the tentative plat. Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Willmus moved, Carlson seconded that High School buses be given per- <br />mssion to use routes over Village roads without tandems until spring <br />restrictions and a resolution of such action be forwarded to Mr. Williams. <br />Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (0). Salverda hYing been excused from meeting. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Carlson seconded that we approve the drain field for <br />Indianhead Truck Lines inasmuch as it has the official sanction of the <br />State Health Dept. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Jim Borden, Building Inspector, inquired wha~ to do about the request <br />of Stenger for a permit to build a home facing Dunlap St. inasmuch as <br />he is held up temporarily on Dionne St. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, seconded by Wil1m.us that our next meeting be held on <br />D84Iember 8th instead of Dec. 7th on account of the Village Election to <br />be held on that day. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Carlson seconded that Willmus be given permission to <br />move a steel building in to the Village on his property on C.& Cleveland. <br />Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Ha.mmerst~n moved, WIllmus seconded that ':[e adjourn.
